Hicks, you can imagine my shock and thrill when Shelby Lynne was announced on that float in Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving Day!!! I hope "Where I'm From" nevah gets too far from yer Heart I know it won't from mine as long as you keep tredding 'dis Earth. Lovin' you so. ;) xxxxXXXxoOO

Hicks, I didnt know you were sick that night, I would've tended to you if I had known! Also wouldnt have minded catchin' what you had! Ha ha, jus kidding of course. The spare arrangement was superb, thataway peeps can really focus on yer vocals & the melody. Jeff made it fun w the Sax range, funny effects! Brain's accompaniment was super fine too & stand up bass guy too. Sorry I was not much for convo, it's yer damn Mojo!!! Glad you liked my small gift. SWAK...!!!

Ah, too bad the only footage of you performing was from the back of the stage and very, very brief. I didn't get to wet my whistle! Ha ha. What a whirlwind day fer you, you mus'tve been exhausted to say the least! All in a days work? no kidding! I always imagined you performing in NOLA somewhere intimate with the likes of Dr. John. I have to research NOLA music, don't know much about it. I'm familiar with Harry Connick but his stuff is a big production, small 'n spare, "less is more" type of arrangement is what I'm seeking out. Still learning from you Hicks, the finest "noggin'" in 'dah Biz, 'dats fo sho!
